Fellow Sailors, My new-to-me 1985 Hunter 31 has a Merriman Pedestal. The portion of the pedestal "shell" through which the engine controls pass has shattered making shifting impossible. As you might expect, this happened while attempting to pull into a tight slip in strong winds. An awesomne experience for a new sailor!
