Merriman pedestal fuel tension problems!

I have had numerous conversations with people who have a Merriman pedestal. Most everyone has experienced a problem with the throttle lever returning to an idle position. I have effectively placed a tensioning mechanism on my H-27 that has solved this problem. throttle tension

I to have had a problem with my Hunter 34. I had located the tension screw on the throttle cable, but still am not able to get full throttle. I am about to add more tension.

Do you know?

Do you know that the Merriman pedestal has a tensioning screw in it for the throttle? If you remove the binnacle mount, looking down from the top where the throttle lever passes through the pedestal, you will see a grub screw to add tension to the throttle. That worked very well on our H34. Dave
