Merit 22 missing Companionway Hatch

Hi Folks;

I am looking for a solution for my dilemma. I lost the front half of my companionway hatch.

I was hoping

a. maybe someone knew of a Merit22 "parts boat" that still has it's pop-top and companionway hatches.
or
b. I might be able to borrow one so that the local sailboat shop can make a mould etc.

I live in Indianapolis IN.

There is quite an active Merit 22 fleet in the west coast racing one design. Some one there must have your answer. Also contact submissions@merit22.com and you can also join the Yahoo group. Wait, someone is already looking.

You know, I thought the Merit Group was dead long ago. I should have checked that first.
It sure sounds like my local sailboat shop guy. That is a pleasant surprise.

I am considering replacing the whole hatch system with something in stainless and acrylic. If I could just get a lead on a company that makes custom hatches for small a trailerable. I have found several that are really only interested in supplying to manufacturers.
