This morning's meeting of the Moon and Mercury. Photoshop has been used to reduce the brightness of the Moon so that the image is more in tune with what we see with our eye.

Mercury is at the bottom of the image. On the right edge is Spica. Top of image is Venus.

I am glad you pointed them out. I had to enlarge the image to see Mercury. It was initially hidden behind a dust speck on my screen.

Fascinating to know. I can't seem to find Spica.

Did you know Pythagoras is given credit for discovering that the Evening Star and the Morning Star were both Venus and that the path Venus makes through the sky is a pentagram which contains the Golden Ratio?
