I need an outboard pro... This motor sounds solid and runs good at higher throttle but at lower throttle one cyl seems to be cutting in and out. I spent $220.oo on it and they said they changed "The box (electrical) that switches between the two cylinders". now I am wondering if I should buy a ignition coil or two. Any good outboard forums? I tried iboats but I am getting no responce.

At the carb. Sounds to me like maybe the slow speed jet may be partially clogged. Carbs are the main victim with the new ethanol crap we are now forced to use. I just don't see an ignition missing at lower speeds, and running fine at higher speeds. Higher speeds require more from the ignition system, and an ignition problem will most times show up at higher throttle settings.
