The boat needs to be out of the water so that there is no water pressure on the hull. Empty the fuel tank,if you have an electrical lift pump you can use that. You then need to disconnect all the pipes and fittings on the metal plate at the top of the tank. Then take a piece of flat strong tape like that used for heavy parcels and pass it down and round the tanks forward end. Lift the tank up and remove by tilting the forward end up. Sounds easy but in my experience it involves a lot of laying on the cabin floor with arms in the hole and a fair amount of swearing. There is a sort of platform under the tank which is easily removed.I put a larger platform down there and then put my spare anchor chain down there. Keeps the weight nice and low.Good luck Mike On Thursday, 22 June 2017, 14:49, "John Kinsella John.Kinsella@... [AlbinVega]" <

I think you need to do with with the boat out of the water as the
water pressure makes it (?) impossible to remove..
The major advantages I suppose:
you have easy access to the bilge so all the tools that you dropped
in there can be fished out
you can flush out the bile & eliminate the accumulated diesel
leaks of (?) 20-30 years..
