Hi all.
I'm having engine overheating problems - due mainly I expect to
blockage in exhaust manifold.
I'm planning to clean out manifold but I first removed thermostat
housing and found thermostat missing - so far so good, should help
water flow.
But the small circular hole on the lower edge of the exhaust manifold
is blanked out with some grey metal. The blocked hole mates with a
corresponding water hole on lower edge of thermostat housing (this
hole is not blocked) - there is an O-ring to seal the union.
[See Paragraph 49 with photo on P22 of MD6A/MD7A Workshop manual.]
Surely this water hole on manifold should be open to allow water flow??
Should I drill it out?
Thanks for any advice,
John
