Alternator and regulator(new) bench test fine. Doesn't seem to be
charging the two batteries. No voltage increase at the batteries even
with increased throttle; the dashboard amp litght. which used to be
bright with engine running and old regulator. now has a slight flicker.
Any thoughts? Rex v1472

Once the engine starts, this lamp should go out.

I would suggest that if Alternator/Regulator are OK and you've got a belt fitted so that the alternator's spinning; then carefully check all the relevant wiring including th earths.
