Has anyone done this or know anyone that has, and does it help ? I am talking about spraying the teflon lubricant onto furling sails to assist in getting a tighter furl in the mast. If so do both sides have to be sprayed ? Any idea of sq. ft. covered by a can Tony

I’ve always used McLube (& the like) on sail slugs (track slides), but I don’t think I’d want to oil the sailcloth.

McLube is not an oil. It is a dry lubricant. It can be used on anything to minimize friction, including sailcloth, no worries. However, to get a tighter wrap on your rolled headsail, I would suggest a small amount of pressure on the sheets as you roll in.
