My wife and I are "toying" with the idea of moving up from our C-27 to the C-310. We have sailed the C-27 (1983) for two years (our first boat). Any comments on the C-310? Certainly there is a difference in the comfort level... but what about handling. We will two hand sail it ourselves.

C310 is an excellent choice

We took delivery of our C310 the first of April and have been sailing almost every weekend since. The boat handles very well and is very easy for two to sail in most conditions. We have the furling main sail and wouldn't trade it for anything, there is nothing quite like being able to winch the sail in and out of the mast from the cockpit. There is plenty of head room (unless you are over 6') and the large forward berth with the innerspring mattress really sold us on the boat. We sail on the Columbia river in Portland Oregon and have found that the 310 holds its own against most of the other boats on the river. And the quality of the Catalina is excellent, very few problems with this boat. Wish you the best with your decision. Good sailing. Hope to see you on the list of new C310 owners.

Should be fine

That's not a huge jump in size, really. If you can handle the 27 easily, you should have no problems with the 310. Just give yourself a little time to adjust to the differences in the way each boat reacts. LaDonna
