One of my Maxwell 17 single speed winches is giving me trouble. Does anyone know where to get parts or repairs done?

Not sure what 'problem' your 17 is giving you, but you might try this site. Maxwell's been out of business for a while, ARCO has picked up some of their parts and accessories, but they're located either 'Down Under' or darn close. Good luck with your journey!

In addition to ARCO,
I would look at consignment shops and eBay. Every now and then you some Maxwells for sale in both places. I bought a 23ST on eBay last year for a great price that works well and I'll either use it to replace one of my other Maxwells or use it for spare parts.
