I am interested in replacing my prop on my Hunter 44 AFT boat to a Max Prop (3 blades) . Is there anybody on the forum that has done that. I would appreciate in getting info on the prop size and pitch adj. general comments are welcome.

There are a few 44's around that have the MaxProp
...including mine. To get the acurate size for your boat, contact PYI and they will size it for your boat and suggest the proper settings. Mine is set at 22 degrees, but that is in fresh water. If you are in salt water, the pitch may need to be changed.

I have a three-blade Maxprop on my H37.5. I love it. Very smooth, minimal vibration, reverse is wonderful, and minimal drag under sail. My prop size and settings may not be appropriate for your boat, engine, gear reduction, etc. As Brian suggested, ask PYI. Gary Wyngarden S/V Wanderlust h37.5
