I purchased a 15" MaxProp for my Catalina 36' 1990 M35 Universal last year. 1" shaft. I am upsizing to a new Catalina 380 2000 later this year and want to keep my MaxProp for the new boat. Will it fit? Thanks, MarkW
Chances are your new 380 will have both a larger engine Hp rating and a larger shaft size, probably 1 1/4 inch. If there is room for a larger diameter prop, then most likely the better MAX prop would be a 16 inch diameter prop rather than the 15 inch you currently have. So most likely you will need to get a new prop. Check it out with MAX prop, or PYI.
Dear Mark: Your 360 and the new 380 both carry a 15" diameter three blade and a 1" shaft. The difference being that the 380 will have apx. 12 to 13 inches of pitch depending on the engine and transmission combination you have.
