max-prop - hunter 40.5

i have recently purchased a 3 blade max-prop for my 1995 h40.5....the information i have is that the blade angle should be set at 20 degrees...can you please confirm this or provide other information.... thanks

Dear Bob:Thanks for your letter and purchase of a Max-Prop. Going off the original spec sheet for the 40.5, I would suggest that we use a setting of 22 degrees. This will give you 13.6" of pitch. This pitch is based upon a Yanmar 50HP with a 2.6:1 gear ratio. Please let me know if your vessel has a different ratio or motor. kwoody@pyiinc.com Sincerely, Kevin L. Woody
