Does PYI have a grease cartride of their preferred grease, that fits in a grease gun, so that I can inject grease via the zerc fittings? Last year I called, with the above question and was sent a soft squeeze tube, which does not work on the zerc's.If so let me know the exact order #.

Neil, Any NAPA store or other good

automotive parts store will have a "needle tip" grease gun. Unscrew the end, squeeze in your soft squeeze tube of specialty grease and use the pin point to inject the grease into the center ball of the zerc. The grease gun is small enough to fit the palm of your hand. (Somehow that sounds offensive with everything that's going on today) This is used for specialty grease types or in tight areas. Go forth and get dirty. Ray

Tube of grease.

Dear Neil, It sounds as if we may have heard your request but did not understand it. Lubraplate 130AA is our choice of grease. The reason is that it is calcium based. The other types of grease available ie. Lithium and silicon, have not stood the test of time when the prop is submerged for months or years in salt water. Lithium lasts apx. 3 three months. Silicon in my prop did not last a month, the 130AA lasts years. One problem with the 130AA is that it is not available in a cartage form. BUT! We have a grease gun top made by Lubramatic, which screws onto the top of that grease tube. This will allow the grease to then be pressurized and forced through your new zerc fittings. I would not put any other style of grease into the propeller other then calcium. If you e-mail me personally at kwoody@pyiinc.com I will be more then happy to send a gun to you at no charge. Sincerely, Kevin L. Woody
