Which company makes the plastic grid for under mattress air cirulation?
Do they work?

Can't remember the name this minute, but yes, it works. Two boats in Florida all summer no longer have soggy 'bottoms'!

There are a couple of solutions. I purchased the "HyperVent Mattress Pads" for my Vberth. It works great. Solved the issue of condensation under the foam mattress pad for my on my boat.

Easy to install. Pull the pad off the bunk. Lay a sheet down. Cut it to shape. Repeat. Tape the sheets together. Leave an inch on the out side for air to circulate under the mattress. Put the mattress on top, get a couple of pillows and take a nap...

Do they work?
Poorly. Eliminate the cause, not the soggy result. See #4.

Our experience after 6 months living on board with hypervent is excellent.

We use DriDeck under the V-berth and crew cabin matresses.

We had the Froli system on the H356. I thought it was effective in eliminating condensation under the mattress. It also made it less likely to bottom out when turning over while sleeping. It is supposedly still on consignment sale at Marine Consignments of Mystic. If they sold it they owe me some money.

Hypervent works well for me, and like js said, easy to install and take out for cleaning.
The Froli system seems a little complicated.

I guess Vancouver has a different atmospheric reality.
It's so wet and humid here people are growing webs between their toes.
Everyone looks like they've always got a tan ................. it's rust.
Vancouver is the most beautiful place on earth, on both days it doesn't rain.

Just to be a nerd... the stuff is miss-named. Since it goes under the mattress it should be hypovent:biggrin:

the spring grid I think you're talking about is called Froli. works great! I put a Froli system under the aft berth on Escape ( our master cabin) and we loved it - adds 1.75" of adjustable springs under the mattress, plenty of air flow and really comfortable. Was great until we had a crew mutiny - they tried our berth - so I had to do the vee berths too.
