I recently purchased a 1986 O'Day 322 (hull # XDYC0010D686) and the masthead sheaves need replacement. There are 4 sheaves in the masthead fitting, 3 for wire halyards and the 4th is a rope toping lift. Two of the three wire sheaves appear to have been completely cut through (down to the sheave bearing pin) by the wire halyards (see pictures attached). I would like to go to an all rope halyard system as a replacement for the wire halyards. Is there a recommended disassembly procedure for the masthead fitting? The two hexhead bolts (one on the port side and one on the starboard side of the mast) that appear to be the primary attachment between the spar and the masthead fitting seem to be "frozen". Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Regards,Bob Sagebiel
