See Masthead have a (universally jointed) block at mast head for spinny halyard (the Masthead2 pic is best).I have a short ss strop from jib halyard swivel to jib halyard to make kinking less likely. The Masthead2 pic shows that the spinny halyard block is above the jib halyard swivel. No jams since I set this up but it does occur to me that it might be better to have a strut (flat bar) self-tapped to top of mast, extending say 20 cm horizontally forward with a ring at forward end. Then the universally jointed block for the spinny halyard would be well forward of the jib halyard swivel.A good idea/unnecessary/bad idea?Advice welcome. Thanks,John V1447 Breakaway
