I am preparing to replace my spreader brackets that broke with the kit from Catalina Direct. In order to push a pressure cylinder up into the mast I need to remove the masthead. Is this bolt I have circled the one that will release the masthead? Thank you.

It appears the masthead is held in place with a bolt through it and through the upper rigging cable brackets. Re moving the bolt should allow you to simply pull it off the mast.
You may find it easier to send a compression tube up the mast using a fish line from the bottom since the mast is already down and open.
