Hello all,
I'm looking for the male portion (mast base) electrical connector that screws into the female deck mount connector. Vessel is a 1982 Mac 22. I could replace the two fittings, but the deck mount doesn't leak and appears to be very usable. Any assistance would be appreciated. Please see photo; rubber weather cap says 'Perko'.
Thx, Phil

They have them at west marine but you get both male and female parts. I just bought 2

Mine was gone, just a stripped wire going through some sealant, so I pulled it and replaced with a flat-4 trailer connector and hit the topside with some water weld. Gives me wires for anchor, nav, and mast lights if I want 'em.

Thanks from here as well. Another question that I did not have to ask.

Any suggestions on a replacement plug and coupler? Mine is old and crusty I'd like to replace it with a "good" one.

BWY for an OEM replacement? Or do they carry something better?

also taller, and more of a toe stubber.

but does look more water tight and for that location, a better choice IMHO.
It is taller. Which actually keeps you from walking on it an damaging it. They are heavy duty and worth every penny. They work great and seal up tight with either the plug or the cap. The plug has a rubber gasket that the wire goes through. I did not cut any insulation off so it creates a very tight, waterproof barrier. I had to roll the gasket down the wire when putting it together. The ones with a rubber cap are a leak waiting to happen. :D

Is it keyed so that it can only be plugged in one way?
Yes. It has one plug / outlet hole that is larger. When you wire it up it is marked for polarity. My steaming light didn't matter, but my anchor light did. They work great.

I left extra wire on the plug side so I can coil it up and then I wrap a velcro strap around the mast to keep the plugs out of the way.

I bought two and had a problem with one. Somehow one of the small screws was stripped inside one of the plugs. I sent Seachoice an e-mail asking for just that one component and they mailed me a whole new set. They have great customer service.
