I am building a cruising spinaker for my 35 and need to mount a block outside the headstay but there is no attachment point at the masthead for a block. Any ideas on how to mount one or how to modify the masthead for one? Thanks, Dave

David - Look at <http://www.best.com/~c25c250/restricted/tt027.html> for one idea. This is from the Cat25 class association, but you may be able to do something similar. Justin - O'day Owners' Web

David I'm Surprised...

your boat does not have a spinnaker bail at the masthead. I thought this was a fairly stock item on bigger O'Days. I was going to suggest exactly what Justins pix portrays. Bails can be had at most chandleries. Mine is welded SS, but I should think you may be able to attach with honkin big SS machine screws. Don

Found It!!!

I found what I need for my masthead to add a crane for attaching a spinnaker halyard swivel block. I found it at www.rigrite.com a company in rhode island that supports and sells Isomat spars. Looks like it requires drilling 2 holes but should be easy to install. Anyone else needing info on Isomat spars should check out this web site. Unfortunately they are closed on Sunday and their computer network is broken so I will see if I can order it tomorrw. Thanks to all respondents for your advice. dave
