Our Marinetics Corp Master Power Control Panel, model 600, has a dead curcuit for the steaming light on our 1979 Peterson 34. The voltage meter does not register any current. The comapny was located in Newport, Ca. Does anyone have a possible solution for the dead curcuit short of purchasing a new power control panel. Marinetics Corp is not listed in the phone book. Were they bought out by a larger concern? Thank you.

Find a book called the 12 volt doctor( I think
that's the title) and then with book in hand and multimeter close by open the control panel and start with all of the switches off. Check to see if you have power to the supply side of each breaker. Next turn on the breakers one at a time and follow the wire color to the next terminal and check there,. If that is a switch ,then turn it to "on" and check the other side. Continue to follow that wire until it gets to the load. Check and make sure that the load works. Go to the next circuiy breaker and repeat all of the above steps. You will be able to locate the problem. It could be a faulty switch breaker, a bad or blown fuse, a loose wire connection, or a faulty load. You can do all this yourself in an hour or two or you can hire an electrician at 75 bucks an hour to do it for you. Be methodical, be patient, and make notes.
