1980 O'Day 25 CB. The mast light bulb is full of water and understandingly not working. The spreader lights are also broken off. I am looking for replacements. My mast is up and I would like to get the parts before taking it down. Does anybody know what bulb the mast light takes? How about replacement lights? I was thinking I would like to change it to a LED bulb if it wasn't too expensive. Any good suggestions for the spreader/deck lights? As I trailer the boat, something that isn't too prone to breaking would be great. Thanks, sPk

What i ended up doing......

Well I just finished this job not 2 days ago. Brought the mast down and bought two aqua signal series 25 lights. One anchor light and one masthead/foredeck light. They were not direct replacements for what I had on there but it ended up working out. ( I couldnt find replacements ) While I was at it I pulled new anchor marine 4 conductor wire through the mast using the existing wiring and wired the series 25 lights up. ( Two wires to each light ) While pulling the wiring i put some wire ties in a star pattern to prevent wire slap inside the mast. Also I had to make a bracket to mount the anchor light to the top of my mast. I made the braket out of stainless sheet metal picked up at the home depot. At the bottom of the mast where my old "through the deck" electrical connection is I just used the existing connection and crimped in a couple disconnects so I can take the mast down and trailer it. LED's seemed a bit expensive to me but perhaps i just didnt look in the right place. The anchor light was 23$ and the foredeck light was 64$. Check westmarine.com part #'s 174409, 225714, 202994, 104077, and 104085 for an idea of what I ended up doing. Good Luck! JayK 1979 Oday 25

Star pattern?

JayK: Will you describe what you mean by a "star pattern" for attaching wire ties to wires inside the mast to avoid wire slap. I have heard of attaching wire ties at random up and down a run of wire with the long end left uncut to cushion the swinging wire length, but I don't know what a star pattern is. I am going to pull the wire for my combo light and attach the wire ties and I like to try this star pattern. Let me know... Thanks, Mike S/B Pitterpat, Lake Huron
