I have been looking into the hunter 19-2 but I'm not straight on the length of the mast. any other info you can give me about the boat would be helpfull

Hunter built two different 19 foot sailboats which the first was in the early 80's before my time which most were a kit boat. The second was a water ballast in the early 90's and the decision to stop production was made by me when Warren Luhrs asked what to do as not many were being sold.
Since we are dealing with different boats, then you need to first specify the year. Although information on the two can be found in the archives, I am not sure the mast lenght is correct as that could be the height from water line to top of mast.
I would suggest you address this to customer service at Hunter and give them the hull number or at least the year of the boat. Do specify either the early one with swing keel or the later one which was water ballast.
I forgot if thjat 19 was the later water ballast version, you could call US Spars in gainesville, Florida and they should be able to give that informatiion to you.

I have been looking at 19-2s made from 1993-1996. On paper it looks like
the perfect boat for the wife and I to get away on. Boat to be used on inland lakes with a base camp on shore. the water ballast makes it light enough to pull with a v-6 mini, pulled a Oday Mariner with one worked out fine.
Any info any one can give would be appriceted.

I will not have any help putting the mast up or down. weight is also a concern for the same
reason. there will be times when I will have to lift the mast with out help

The boat came standard with a mast raising system just like on the 23.5, 26, 240 and 260. I had one customer 65 years old who could raise the mast.
One of the messages said DWL. That basically is the distance from the supposed water line of the boat to the top of the mast; therefore, the mast is shorter than that measurement. Call US Spars in Florida and they can tell you the lenght of the acutal mast as they replace the Z Spar masts.
