We just stepped our mast a week ago and my ST40 wind is not working I suspect the issue is the connections at the base of the mast. I don't see any way to get at them without pulling the mast. I'm not missing anything am I?

Thanks

My 1984 C-30, base of the mast are two blocks, stbd and port, those can be removed for a little access to the internals. Be careful with the screws, they might be a little tough to get out.

That happened to me a few years ago but it was my radar. I tried to remove the halyard sheaves to gain access but I broke the screw head off and gave up. The cabling exits a tube extending about 6" from the deck so even if I got the sheave out I don't think I could reach high enough to reconnect it.
I toyed with the idea of cutting an access hole, there are sources to buy them, but decided not to. I step the mast every year so I am more careful when we launch to take my time making the connections.
