Previous I got very good feedback when I asked about slips in Long Beach, Wilmington, and San Pedro

Is there a "mast-up" parking lot at a launch ramp in any of these places? I have Mac 25 on a trailer in the mast-up lot in MdR but the traffic is driving me mad.

BTW, "mast-up" means a parking lot where one can store a boat on the trailer with the mast raised so one can launch it without the hassle of raising the mast each time. Obviously, the launch ramp needs to be be adjacent because one can't drive around streets with the mast up!

No public mast-up storage near a ramp in LB. However, Cabrillo Beach YC (San Pedro) and Alamitos Bay YC (Long Beach), I believe, have mast-up storage with crane lift for members. YC membership is down generally around So. Cal.; so, there might be space available for your yacht; although 25 ft is getting on to the large (heavy) side.

Cabrillo was full for mast up storage, but pm me, and I'll give you who to contact.

There are other local places with mast up storage, but beware some require dropping the mast a bit to get under bridges.

And Cabrillo Way Marina has finally opened their mast-up storage as well. They have two cranes and can handle up to 40'. The lot is located at the end of Miner Street in San Pedro.

Personally I think using a crane on a Mac25 would be more hassle than raising and dropping the mast. They are definitely much easier to just launch from a ramp.

I think frequent crane launches would break my budget. Thanks though!

At Cabrillo, there isn't a charge for crane launches, if you do them. With another person, I launch fully in 20 minutes. The other person is helpful balancing the boat, otherwise I have to climb up and down a lot. They have a frame, you buy your own straps.
