here is a pic if my mast tang and spreader bracket repair...the one on the left is the new repair...the one next on the right is the starboard side and only need a little weld.....the pieaces on the right are the old port side parts that were bent very badly ...i managed to strighten them enough to get a pattern to make new ones.....i didnt have a press break to bend them so i ahd to go to a sheet metal shop for the bends and they did a fine job on that part..... other than need a little polishing and pasavating they are good to go...i used 304 ss to make the parts as it was stronger than 316ss but not as shiney and of course cheaper (as in free)
