Mast support on Oday 23

As someone on the lookout for a decent Oday 23 I was wondering how the mast and its compression load is supported, especially on this particular boat? On my Precision 18 there is a compression post that is built into the cabin top rather than a mast post going from the cabin ceiling to the keel.ThanksMark

Mast Compression Post

The 23 is one model I know little on, as evidence by my not knowing they made a earlier keel stepped model (thanks Justin). However if it's like the other mid 20' OD models, the compression post is part of the centre bulkhead edge. On my 25 there is a teak 1.5x3.5 (guess?) from keel to headliner. I never had a problem with it. The worst would be rot at the foot, but if the bilge was kept relatively dry this should not be a problem.Don

Supporting the mast

There is a bulkhead with a post directly below the mast that supports it.
