Anyone have any suggestions on how best to store a mast. Should it be wrapped in plastic/shrink wrap? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Last year I sprayed mine with wd40 and wraped it with plastic wrap It worked quite well I was on the boat all winter but covered with a tarp Uwe
