mast squeak

We have a hunter vision and our daughter complains about the mast squeaking from the rubber gasket when she is trying to sleep and its windy out. is there anything we can do to stop or lessen the noise. I told her to turn up the radio.

Take the halyard back to the end of the boom, put some tension on it and then snug the main sheet. I found that reduced the movement and vibration, but there will still be some.

Tighten the main sheet and tighten the preventer on one side. I found that eliminates all noise.
