Wire Slap
Your wire slapping problem is quite common and I've heard of more than a few solutions to it. Firstly, do you have internal halyards? If so, you may have to run your mast wiring in conduit inside the mast to prevent them from slapping. If installing new wiring, put tie wraps on the wires at intervals of a few feet, but don't trim the tails. They will keep the wires away from the mast. These next ideas I've only heard of and I can't attest to their effectiveness. I've heard of someone shoving a couple of nerf balls(round sponges) into the mast with a long pole or pouring styrofoam peanuts or similiar non-rotting stuff into the mast.
