Hello

We have an O'Day 25 and this summer noticed a pretty good leak coming from above the bulkhead when there were heavy rains. Additionally, I think there is some sponginess in the area of the mast. I have seen on this site that it is probably the mast tabernacle needing to be removed, rotten core removed, screws rebedded, etc.

I know there is a post which thoughly explains the steps to take and products which were used, however, having spent almost an hour I have had little success finding it.

Can someone help out in pointing me to the correct link?

Thank you very much.

Mike,
If you can't find anything on the web, perhaps your local library can get you a book by Don Casey entitled, "This Old Boat" through their inter-library loan system if they don't already have it. This book, along with Don's other books on fiberglass repair has a wealth of knowledge. Also, I think that Don Casey has a web site with fiberglass repair info. Check out "The Mother Of All Maritime Links."
