I have read the infor below from other owners and have come up with my own system for a 22 mast. I got a peice of romex wiring (.39 cents/ft) from Home Depot. I placed a roller from Walmart ($3) in the middle of a 4 foot section of the romex. I attached the rig to my bow pulpit with quick clips so that it can be removed. I then passed my trailer winch hook through the rig and to the mast. With the mast attached to the rear bolt in the tabernacle, I used the winch to raise the mast. If you seach in the photo forum you will see pictures of the rig.

How I've stepped mine..

I own a 23' tempest. I had 3 friends helping, 4 all together. 25' mast. The base of my mast has only a "boot". I don't have a "pin". We laid the mast down, top of the mast to the bow, base of the mast aft towards the stern. We then connected the front stay and shrouds. My 3 friends then walked the mast forward, I held the back stay. One frined footed the mast into the boot, the other 2 held the wieght of the mast, I connected the back stay. done. Took about 3 to 5 minutes, felt like an hour. Best of luck. Kevin
