I just bought my first sailboat. An ODay 22 1980. I have no idea of how to raise the mast or where all the rigging goes.
Can anyone direct me to some info.?

For starters go up into the boat info tab, down to odays, them read all about your boat.

I had the same year and model. I trailered it the first year I had it. I must of raised and lowered the mast 25 times that year. I was able to raise and lower by myself.

I made a crutch to support the mast at the transom. The crutch supported the mast when trailering. I added to the height when raising and lowering, see picture. To raise I would rest the mast on the extended crutch. I would then use the rear pin to secure the mast to the step. I always kept the rear and side stays attached. I would then attach my boom vang to the jib halyard. The other end of the vang would be attached to the bow of the boat. I would stand behind the mast and shoulder it as I tightened the boom vang.

Reverse to lower.

Forgot to mention, once the mast was raised I would attach the front stay and remove the boom vang.

Correction: I used the main halyard not the jib.

I made a small platform out of plywood that sits just in front of the companionway, and an aft stand as described. My stand hiches into the rudder bracket holes of the transom. In the parking lot, with the aft stay loosened a little, I shoulder the mast and make a step onto the platform, and then onto the top of the deck. Getting the mast up vertical as much as possible before making the final step up to the deck is the key to success. From there on its easy to push it up to vertical. With a helper to clevis the forestay or a line rigged to the forestay to pull as you approach the bow, it is easy enough after a few trials. If solo, I would put a phillips screwdriver in my back pocket, ready to send through the the fore stay and bracket hole temporarily until I could get up to set the clevis pin. Then I adjust the aft stay after it's launched.

I think you might want to repair/replace that centerboard!

For parts that are O'DAY specific, you can't really beat D&R Marine, Rudy Nickerson was the Parts Dept. Manager at O'DAY from 1973-89 and now runs a little shop supplying parts for our boats. He has a web-site www.drmarine.com with the parts catalogs, but for best and fastest service, a phone call is worth making (508) 644-3001
Rudy has a lot of info and is a good source of advice.
