Hinged mast plate
Hello Dennis: I installed a home made hinged mast plate on my C22. I also made up a gin pole for mechanical advantage & a mast crutch for stepping & unstepping the mast. With a helper, I can raise the mast without using the gin pole. I tie a line to the forestay & have the helper pull it up as I push it up by walking forward on the cabin top. Without a helper, I use the gin pole & a jib sheet winch. I could e-mail pictures. Regards, Bob B.
