Mast Raising Help Needed

Went sailing yesterday and no problem with mast raising and the motor ran fine. Since it was the first time, I used the main sail only. Still a few minor issues to sort out, such as adjusting the furler, buying a new gin pole (the current one is homemade and doesn't fit into the mast hole). Also a few observations, such as how difficult it is to steer in tight spaces with the outboard, and that you can't really lower the rudder without pushing down on the top. In response to the last few posts, a PO apparently removed the jib halyard since it not needed with the CDI, so I don't have much choice but to use the forestay to raise the mast. Finally, I've attached a few pics - thanks again for the guidance.

The H23 has a line used to pull the rudder down (since it floats), hopefully an expert on your model will comment on whether yours does. Looks like the OB is much further down from the helm than on my boat - I can use the OB manually to help steer in tight spots.
