Mast raising bridle length for 94 23.5

Seems like when I bought this boat used from a dealer he inadvertently gave me a bridle which is much to long for a 23.5. Tried calling Hunter, but the line has been busy for two days, so would anyone take the time to measure their bridle and get back to me. I can shorten the ones I have if I only knew the desired lengths.

According to the Manual

They are: 1/8"" 1x19 SS 5'1" long from inside of hook to center of pelican hook If you are out this way you could match them up to mine and see how they line up. There is no slack at all in mine when attached whether the mast is up or down.

How can you shorten them...

...wouldn't you need a swaging tool (or is it a machine)? I need to shorten my lifelines now that I've added stern rail seats. I'd rather they attach to the top of the seat instead of the original position. ...RickM...

Shortening is no problem

West marine has figure 8 crimp fittings which slip over the bitter cable ends and are crimped. Tks Rick for the info.
