mast quiver

[s/v Sweet Laraine]

at the well, in a moderate wind, my standard rig mast will start to quiver about half way up near the spreaders. forward and aft. i'm wondering if it is a matter of unbalanced standing rigging. nothing seems overly tight. i'm looking for ideas.

Mast pumping

I noticed the mast pumping at certain wind angles on my boat - I think it's pretty common. Besides making sure your rig is reasonably well tuned I've heard you can somehow disrupt the airflow with halyards. Besides being somewhat annoying I don't think it's something you need to worry about.Trevor
