Mast questions

Considering purchasing a H 260 and have a couple of questions. The brochure lists a mast heigth of 40'. I assume this is above the waterline. Can anyone tell me what the actual length of the mast is (for storage purposes). Also, is there a tall rig option on this boat? Thanks!

Simon, Check the spec's on this site for the 260.

I have not heard of a tall rig option. Ray S/V Speedy.

My guess...

I have a '98 H26 (same overall height) and would guess the length of the mast between 35 and 36 feet. That puts the mast base 4 to 5 feet above waterline, which seems about right.

Mast Height

The 40 Foot Mast Height is above the waterline. The 260 is one of the finest boats you can purchase. It is amazingly easy to sail singlehanded, it is fast and such gentle manners. The Mast is also easy to raise and lower singlehanded. I trailer mine vast distances in the USA and Canada and it trailers so well.
