I have a 87 capri 22 and have noticed pitting on the mast. Has anyone else had a similar problem? What can be done to repair or prevent additional pitting. It is getting worse every year and thought I would try to work on it over the winter.
You can acid-etch your mast to get rid of the corrosion and then use Alodine -- available from most aviation maintenance sources -- to chemically treat your mast so it won't corrode again.
