I need help rewiring my connecter for my mast light. I don't have an ower's manual and my connecter has come off. Can someone provide me with a wiring diagram?

I don't have a wiring diagram, but I checked all the systems immediately after I purchased my H-23.5 five years ago and made copious notes. Here is what I show. Look at the female deck receptacle, with the large pin hole at twelve o'clock. The large pin is the common (ground) and connects to the red wire. The receptacle pin at 4 o'clock is the steaming light and connects to the blue wire. The pin at 8 o'clock is the mast (or anchor) light and connects to the green wire. With this, you can work backwards to connect the wires to the plug. I hope my five-year-old info is correct.Dale Wiles/v GrandechildSandpoint, Idaho

The big item to remember is the large pin is ground.For information, Black wiring is generally ground. However, it has been confusing with the boats having shore or AC power. Hunter has adopted new guides and for the new boats, black wire for ground on DC systmes is now yellow.Crazy Dave Condon

Buy a small voltmeter

Your best bet is to buy a small voltmeter (hardware or auto supply store should have them), and hook it up to your wiring. Flipping the switches on and off will give you an exact configuration of what your wiring is. The black lead will be attached to the ground, and the red lead will be the positive. On my 23.5, flipping the mast switch one way powers both positives, and the other way powers only one of the two (can't remember which right now. Hope this helps.
