Mast length???

What is the actual mast length, on a 1985 23'Hunter? I know the specs say 33' from DWL, but I live in Kansas and finding a mast is like,,,,impossible, so I am adding on a extension to the mast I already have, but need actual mast length of original mast....Please advise..

So what part of the mast is "missing"? If you have the mast is it complete from the bottom to the gooseneck(boom attachment)? Your 'P' dimension is 25' 8" according to the specs on this site. So you need that plus a few, probably 26' total(above the gooseneck).

I'm assuming you already have the boom attached to your mast. The "P" dimension (mainsail luff) for a 23 is 25' 8". That is the distance from the gooseneck to black band.

The Mast I have is 26' overall, it is from a Prindle 16. From the gooseneck to bottom of mast is about 12". I will have to add a section to the bottom of mast. As it sets now the boom almost sweeps the cabin trunk....lol
