Well it had to happen. The previous owner hadn't raised the sail in over three years and the last three weeks I have sailed the boat extensively. Now the rain has returned to Florida and I have a small leak around the mast. Is there an easy way to seal this or does it require a new seal which could be very expensive? What Give's, any suggestions other than a new mast seal? Calling all Vision owners to reply. Thanks in advance.

Vision 32 compression ring

Rob, I've never had this problem on my Vision 32, but if I did I would check the compression ring at the deck level to make sure it was tighten down evenly all the way around and sealed with a good marine grade sealant. Good luck, Jim Moonraker

Mast Sealing

I have owned my Vision 32 for 10 years now. I have had it moved three times with job changes, and had the mast removed each time. While stepping the mast, I carefully seated the compression ring evenly around the mast. Then I fill the top of the compression ring with a good grade of marine sealent, covering the whole area between the mast and aluminum ring. I haven't had any problems with mast leakage with this methode.
