The mast height on my boat is expressed as 53' 5" (fr DWL).
What does fr DWL stand for ?.

It is expressed this way for your convenience. There is no need to make calculations for bridge (or other obstruction) clearance. Subtract about 5 1/2 feet for the length of the mast.

You must ADD for light, antanna on top of mast

That dimension is to the flat part of the mast where your mast light is attacheed. You must add for the light, windex, wind device and antenna for bridge clearance. I knnow from experience!
