I made a wooden mesh lattice for the cockpit floor by cutting some cedar into strips and gluing it together. So far it's holding up well and I like the appearance. I can take a closer pic of that if you're interested.The V in the front of my dock is to allow me easy access to the bow area for working around the boat.

Gutty But very Cool

I really liked the pictures. My son shinnied up our mast to the spreaders in open water, but I don't think he would have gone further even if he needed to. Looks like a long way down to me (at least for this old body).I thought your cedar cockpit floor grate was cool too, but I would imagine going barefoot is not such a good idea anymore.Thanks for sharingWard
