Does anyone know who manufactured the mast and sheaves on the 1978 O'day 27. I need to replace the sheaves, but I would like to find the parts befor I remove the mast. Thanks

slothrop: It is unusual for the sheaves at the mast head to wear out but if you feel yours are worn then I'd contact Rudy (from this web site) or the company which manufactured your mast. Kenyon was a common builder for O'day but there have been others. Rudy can probably tell you who built yours if you have the year of the boat and; the hull number will help. Good luck

When I recently purchased an O'Day 27 and i had to replace the mast step plate. I found that the Rig-Rite #8 spars fit my 1976 boat. You might check out their website at www.rigrite.com and look for the cross-section that best fits your mast's cross-section, then check out the other components. Ross
