Not quite
Maestro was correct in placement, but off in degrees. It is suppose to cover from forward to 22 1/2 degress abaft the beam on both sides, or a total of 225 degrees. It is not wise to use this light for anything other than when the engine is on. It is sometimes incorrectly used to show light on the jib when sailing at night. According to the Rules of The Road, this indicates that the vessel is under power and is treated as such and not as a sailboat.
