Mast hardware
Hi! i just got an '87 26.5, and on my mast, there is a hole across the sail track to insert a cotter pin which is apparently held in by the weight of the sail, once it's bent on. There is no insert/grommet around the exit hole for the halyard on mine. Should I be looking for them? It doesn't seem like it would wear there, with the exit angle, but then again we haven't put the stick up yet.
Just gearing up for a major rewiring of the mast, adding: VHF coax, anchor light, windex light, steaming/foredeck light, and possibly a hailer. Is there a conduit riveted inside your mast for the wires? That's the next decision...
