The Mast Deck/Steaming Light Fixture just above the first set of spreaders has been damaged when the genoa gave it a good wack during a tack today. The piece that holds the deck lamp in place popped off and into the lake. Unforunately it doesn't float.

When I looked at the Beneteau SysElio parts it indicates that it is a Perko 120BMD.

When I located some distributers it looks close but it's not the same.

I have the feeling they have made the one I have obsolete.

The deck light is 25W and slightly over 4" in diameter. The new one is slightly over 2-1/2 inches.

Has anyone replaced a bulb for the old style?? and Mayby the fixture???

The AQUA-SIGNAL from West Marine looks closer than the Perko.

The steaming light on my 323 is a perko, but does not have the deck light. Did you try the Perko website (assuming there is one)?

Changing the fixture could be interesting since its probably pop riveted onto the mast. I recently went up the mast to change the buld in mine only to find that I couldn't determine how to get it apart without drilling out the rivets. I guess I'll wait until the bulb finally burns out. So much for the preventive maintenance idea...

Thanks for the reply Doug.

After some more research and calling the previous owner I have figured it out.

It seems that the original was replaced with the Aqua Signal from West Marine. Why they put such a large unit on is beyond me. You can read a book at night under the 25 watt deck lamp. The problem is you can't buy just the missing part. The new one is 35 watts. The guy on the boat beside me could read a book.:D
