Mast brands on Used H260

I am going to look at a 1999 H260 this weekend. I have seen several mentions of different brands of mast on this forum. Can someone please summarize what the differences are and what to look out for. Thanks.

Masts

At that point in time, it could have been one of three which is Dwyer, Charleston Spar or US spars. YOu will be able to deteremine which one as the name will be on the mast. Seldon has nothing to do with the masts on the 260 and down. All three are good masts. The primary difference is the attachment of the mast rainsing pole on the mast. The masts are built to Hunter specs. I introduced the Hunter 26, 260 and 270, so I know the history pretty well on these boats. Dave ours is a Seldon

Dave our 2001 260 Hunter has a Seldon mast as per my post. Spoke to Lawton Connolly at Seldon last week regarding the tension for the reverse diagonals. He was very very helpfull. By the way the particular model or series (from the number of red stickers on it) is the "Red Label" with the Olympic symbol underneath.

are you getting the info from a selddon booklet that came with the boat. Does it say seldon on the mast Crazy dave
